Are you planning your vacation at Camping des Ballastières and looking for practical information?
Here you’ll find answers to the most frequently asked questions, to help clarify each stage of your stay.
General information
How far away is Belfort?
Belfort is 20km from the campsite.
How do I get to Belfort from the campsite by public transport?
Unfortunately, there is no public transport to Belfort from the campsite.
What are the reception hours?
Opening hours :
- High season: 8am-12pm / 3pm-8pm
- Off season: 8h-12h/ 15h-19h
What types of accommodation are available?
We offer different types of accommodation:
- Cottage
- Classic and Premium mobile homes
- Unusual tents : Tente Bivouac sur Pilotis, Tente Canadienne, Tente Trappeur
What services are available on site?
- Restaurant (open July-August)
- Small seasonal grocery store with basic necessities.
- Playground
- Swimming pool (open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. in high season)
- Fishing card sales
- Laundry
- Volleyball court
- Table Tennis
- Pétanque court
- Soccer and basketball pitch
- Sports equipment
- Water slides (available in high season)

Does the campsite accept pets?
Yes, the campsite accepts pets (maximum 2 per rental).
Are there any unusual accommodations?
Yes. We offer unusual tents: Bivouac tent on stilts, Canadian tent, Trapper tent
In what languages are you welcomed?
We welcome you in French, English, German and Spanish.
Reservations and conditions
What payment methods are accepted?
Cash, credit card, bank cheque, ANCV cheques.
Does the campsite accept VACAF vouchers?
No, VACAF vouchers are not accepted.
Is a deposit required on arrival?
Yes, the deposit is made by credit card only. This is a pre-authorization.
The amount of the deposit varies according to the category of accommodation.
Do you offer cancellation insurance?
Yes, we offer cancellation insurance. The price is 4.5% of the stay.
When do I have to pay the balance of my reservation?
If more than one month before arrival:
A deposit must be paid 5 days after booking.
If less than one month before arrival:
The balance must be paid in full.
Can I choose my location?
Yes if you book your pitch in advance of your reservation.
Yes if availability permits (depending on season).
Do I have to pay a tourist tax?
Yes, the fee is 0.20 per adult.
Services and equipment
Can we order bread or breakfast?
Breakfast can be ordered during reception opening hours. Orders must be placed the day before for the following morning.
Do you offer any entertainment?
Yes in high season.
Is there a kids' club?
Yes in high season.
Is there a restaurant on the campsite?
Yes, there’s a restaurant, but it’s only open in July and August.
Does the campsite have adapted sanitary facilities (for disabled people and babies)?
Yes, we have adapted sanitary facilities for people with reduced mobility and for babies.
Is there heating in the rentals?
Yes, there is heating in the rentals.
Is bed linen provided?
Yes, linen is provided in the rentals.
Are towels provided?
No, towels are not provided. If you would like some, you will have to pay 8€ per person.
Are televisions available in the rentals?
Yes, most of our rentals are equipped with televisions. Only a few do not.
Can I rent cots and baby chairs?
Yes, we offer baby packs.
The price of the pack is 30€.
Can we barbecue?
Yes, barbecues are allowed.
Is there a launderette?
Yes, you can wash your clothes in a launderette. The cost is €4.
Do you offer Internet access?
Yes, we offer free internet access in the reception area only.
Do you offer a coffee machine in your rentals? What type of coffee machine?
Yes, we have coffee machines in the rentals. There are some exceptions where there are none. The coffee machines are filter machines.
Do you offer a swimming pool?
Yes, we offer a swimming pool.
Is the pool supervised?
No, the pool is not supervised. Please supervise your children.
Is there a fishing area on the campsite?
Yes, we have a fishing area.
Is there a children's playground?
Yes, there’s a children’s playground.
Do you offer activities in partnership with local organizations (hiking, horse-riding, etc.)?
Yes, we offer partnerships.
Rules of procedure
Can we receive visitors?
Yes. Daily visitors are required to report to reception and pay the visitor’s fee.
What are the arrival and departure times for bare pitches?
Arrivals are from 2:30 pm to 6 pm in low season and from 2:30 pm to 8 pm in high season.
Departures are at noon for pitches.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Arrivals are from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm in low season and from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm in high season.
Departures are at 10 am for rentals.
Can I arrive or leave outside reception opening hours?
Yes, in this case it’s a late arrival. You must notify us in advance by e-mail or telephone.
